ABOUT SHOCHI
承知 · Understood.
The one word every busy person wants to hear back.
Why the name
In Japanese, shōchi (承知) means “understood” or “acknowledged”. In a Japanese workplace, shōchi shimashita is what a trusted colleague says when they’ve taken something on: I hear you, I understand what you need, and it’s handled.
That is exactly the relationship we want you to have with your chief of staff. You shouldn’t have to explain twice, chase for updates or wonder whether something slipped. You say it once, Shochi understands, and the work gets done, often before you thought to ask.
Our mission
Executives have always had chiefs of staff. Founders, small business owners and busy professionals mostly haven’t. We’re building Shochi to change that: a proactive, always-on chief of staff that lives where you already are, understands your world, and gives you back the hours you lose to admin.
What we believe
- Understanding comes first. Great help starts with knowing your people, priorities and preferences.
- Proactive beats reactive. The best assistant tells you what matters before you ask.
- You stay in control. Nothing is sent, booked or paid without your approval.
- Meet people where they are. No new app to learn: just WhatsApp, by text, voice note or call.
